Why Natural Fibers?

When building a natural fiber wardrobe, you're choosing a wardrobe that can stand the test of time. Some key elements will be a cohesive color palette, classic silhouettes, and a wardrobe where beauty and function meet.

For our collections, we use all natural fibers for a variety of reasons. They tend to be more comfortable than any synthetic fiber. Natural fibers have breathable capabilities and help regulate temperature. They are beautiful and age well - no synthetic can compare.

Natural fibers are gentle on sensitive skin, free from harsh chemicals and irritants often found in synthetic fabrics, making them soft and safe for your skin—especially important for postpartum or nursing moms.

Ethically Made in Nepal with GOTS-certified organic cotton

To take your natural fiber closet to the next level, we use GOTS-certified organic cotton. GOTS stands for Global Organic Textile Standard, and since its introduction in 2006, it has set the highest worldwide standard for the processing of organic fibers. This comprehensive standard covers the entire textile chain.

GOTS certification is recognized and accepted in all major world markets, so no matter where your organic clothing and accessories were grown and manufactured, you can be sure that all certified products meet the exact same stringent standards.

Ethical standards: GOTS certification requires compliance with International Labour Organization (ILO) standards. This includes fair wages, no forced or child labor, safe working conditions, and freedom of association.

Free from harmful chemicals: GOTS-certified products can only carry the label if they contain at least 70% certified organic fibers (for products labeled "made with organic"), and at least 95% certified organic fibers for the label "organic." Organic fibers must be organically processed in order to have organic fabric. An organic fabric is one that is third party certified to the Global Organic Textile Standard. Fabrics. Synthetic pesticides, herbicides, and chemical fertilizers are not allowed in the growing process.

Organically Dyed: In addition to the fibers, biodegradable and low-impact dyes and inputs are the standard. GOTS restricts the use of toxic chemicals in processing, such as azo dyes, formaldehyde, and heavy metals.
